chibiguri (ちびぐり)

chibiguri is becoming more and more of a chore to watch. He is rather fussy, due I think mostly to his allergies which have resulted in fairly serious baby rash on his face. This casues him to spend a lot of time scratching, which of course exacerbates the problem. It is a vicious cycle.

However, this is only a problem it seems, when I am watching the baby when Amaguri is out working or shoping or attending class. He seems to take particular joy in causing me to have to spend all my time trying to keeep him from scratching. This is a problem, since if a baby's will conflicts with that of it's parent(s), the baby always wins!

So I am working on ways to keep chibiguri from scratching, and trying as well to keep him occupied during our long hours together. As I am not well-suited to be a baby-sitter, this is a problem. However, I suppose that this is part of the whole experience. Baby-raising is not supposed to be easy, and this is especially a problem for fathers, who are not exactly skilled at baby-watching!

In any event, this has opened entirely new horizons to me, and I appreciate those who do it for a living. Something that I would certrainly never do!
